After turning his first company, MAD Productions, into a successful business, Maryland native
Michael DeMattia launched MDfilms in 2004. Through Michael’s enthusiasm for all aspects of media production, the company has built a reputation on its work in live sound mixing, video production, post-production, and  still photography. Today, MDfilms has an extensive client base and a long list of impressive references.

Michael first started MAD Productions right after high school in 1998. He quickly turned his love for live sound and production into a profitable venture and soon found himself mixing concerts for some of today’s most successful musical acts including Presidents of the United States of America and Smash Mouth. Through MAD Productions, Michael was personally responsible for all aspects of concert sound production, including calibration and setup, engineering, artist management and the supervision of union crews while working as the system technician for seven years at Nation, one of the largest nightclubs in the metro-Washington D.C. area.

After building a solid name for MAD Productions, Michael formed MDfilms to branch out into broader and more challenging production work. With MDfilms, he quickly parlayed his experience mixing live concerts into editing music videos. The company has since been commissioned to craft slick, big budget industrials, effective public service announcements and touching retrospectives.

Each new production MDfilms takes on is yet another opportunity for Michael DeMattia to prove his devotion to creativity. It is this personal expression that sets MDfilms apart as a production company and has turned it into the reputable company numerous clients have come to rely on and return to.
